Charlene M. Lipchen

Charlene is an intellectual property lawyer and registered patent and trademark agent in the firm’s Technology, Intellectual Property and Privacy group. Charlene’s extensive experience in intellectual property law encompasses a wide spectrum of technologies and industries, focusing on drafting patent applications and negotiating the scope of patent claims with patent offices in Canada, the United States and around the world. She has assisted clients in obtaining patents, including artificial intelligence, industrial robotic technology, clean energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, electrical transmission systems, transportation systems, agriculture, cannabis, medical devices, sports equipment and consumer products.

Pascal Chiva-Bernard

Kenneth Ang

Kenneth Ang is the Geomatics Lead at Terra Remote sensing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering from BCIT and is an RPAS pilot. With more than 10 years of industry experience in surveying, remote sensing, geodesy and RPAS applications, he oversees the RPAS program and geo-referencing efforts at Terra Remote.

Tedman Jess

Tedman Jess joined the Suncor Energy Aviation Department in 2014 and has stewarded the Suncor Energy Drone Program since its inception. When the Program was founded in 2020, there were 250 drone missions across Canada. In 2023, that number grew to almost 3,000 missions in the Northern Oil Sands area alone, making the Suncor Energy Drone Program one of the largest industrial drone programs in Canada. Tedman is honored to be attending the Aerial Evolution Association of Canada 2025 Conference & Exhibition.

Nicolas Joubert

Nicolas is a partner in MLT Aikins’ Winnipeg office and advises clients on a broad range of technology-related projects and transactions, with a focus on procuring IT services, software solutions, emerging technologies and commercializing intellectual property. He supports businesses of all sizes and government organizations through the complexities of IT outsourcing, procurement strategies and digital transformation initiatives. Nicolas also provides legal guidance on the development and use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence solutions.

Geneviève DaCambra

Geneviève DaCambra is a seasoned professional in the aeronautics industry, specializing in charter flight operations, airport management and RPAS/drone industrial programs. As leader of the Aviation portfolio at Suncor Energy, Genevieve has developed, with her team, one of the largest industrial drone programs in North America since 2019. With a strong focus on enhancing safety and productivity, she has made consistent contributions to various organizations. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for the Aerial Evolution Association of Canada and is an advisory council member for the Energy, Drone and Robotics Coalition in the USA. Additionally, her role on the Government of Alberta’s Strategic Aviation Advisory Council – RPAS Sub-committee, highlights her commitment to advancing the standards and practices of aviation technology in Canada.

Steve Bellingham

Steve Bellingham has a degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and over 40 years of aviation experience at Transport Canada and NAV CANADA, focussed on radio navigation aids, GNSS, ADS-B and RTM. In his current role as Manager, RPAS Solutions Engineering, Steve is the technical lead for development of NAV CANADA’s future RPAS Traffic Management system. Prior to joining the RTM team, Steve served 22 years as Manager of the Navigation Systems Engineering team, responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of navaids and flight inspection systems. Steve also acted as NAV CANADA’s engineering representative on the Aireon space-based ADS B program through its development and initial certification. Steve is the Canadian Member of the ICAO Navigation Systems Panel and a technical advisor to the RPAS Panel, as well as an active contributor to various EUROCAE standards development activities.

Dolan Bogus

Dolan Bogus the Manager of Outreach at Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC). With over 21 years of Federal Procurement experience, Dolan leads a team of outreach officers in Western Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North West Territories and Nunavut) who work to support smaller and diverse businesses in selling to the Government of Canada and travelling along their bidding journey. Located in Edmonton, Alberta he has held numerous positions within federal procurement, ranging from the purchase of goods and services, business and policy support, to the design of workload management and risk assessment systems for procurement officers across Acquisitions Branch within PSPC.

In her current role as RPAS Traffic Management, ATC Specialist at NAV CANADA, she provides expertise to multiple national initiatives advancing the integration of RTM concepts and technologies in Canada’s airspace.Her career spans roles in air traffic control and systems development with an emphasis on international collaboration.
