Biography

Elliot has worked in a variety of sectors including tourism, retail sales, social work and even started his own company prior to joining the Government of Canada in 2000. Starting with Service Canada, Elliot began his public service career working to match employers and students with summer jobs. He later joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Rural and Co-operatives promoting the federal government’s role in economic development in rural communities across the prairies. He joined Western Economic Diversification(now PrairiesCan) in 2013 and has been supporting defence procurement activities for the department since 2015. He has been a strong advocate for supporting unmanned system development in Alberta.

 

Elliot loves travelling, riding motorcycles, BBQs, outdoor firepits, hiking and holds a black belt in karate which he teaches on a regular basis.
