Biography

Alexandra is a distinguished expert in RPAS Traffic Management (RTM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, bringing nearly three decades of experience across operational, technical, and strategic domains in aviation. In her current role as RPAS Traffic Management, ATC Specialist at NAV CANADA, she provides expertise to multiple national initiatives advancing the integration of RTM concepts and technologies in Canada’s airspace.
Her career spans roles in air traffic control and systems development with an emphasis on international collaboration. Highlights include technical and leadership roles in digital tower projects across Europe and North America, collaborating with the FAA to support cross-border RPAS operations, and representing NAV CANADA in ICAO and CANSO working groups allowing her to contribute to the evolution of RTM and ATM standards globally.
A licensed commercial pilot and a certified advanced RPAS pilot, she holds a Bachelor of Arts and multiple aviation and instructional certifications. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, she is a committed mentor and peer supporter through NAV CANADA’s wellness programs and an active member of several professional organizations including the 99s, and Professional Women Controllers, Inc.
