“Susan has been a critical member of the Student UAS competition committee for the past 13 competitions. While she works in the background, and does not get much visibility, for over a decade she has been instrumental to the success of the competition. She dedicates many hours per week year-round volunteering her time, every year. She does the coordination with the students, manages all of the logistics, updates the website, etc. She has a long record of achievement, having contributed thousands of hours of her time. For instance, this year, the competition is moving to Medicine Hat. She took it upon herself to travel and do a site recce shortly after the site was selected to resolve a myriad of questions with the local host committee. The continuous success of the AEAC student UAS competition is in direct proportion to her dedicated efforts and enthusiasm. The competition is very important to Susan, and Susan is also very important to the competition”.
