Colin Rousseau is a founding member of Zenith, the Polytechnique Montréal student drone team that won the 2026 AEAC Student UAS Competition, and the co-founder and CTO of Aerialix, a Montréal startup that designs specialized drones for work in hard-to-reach places, starting with high-rise window cleaning.
At Zenith, Colin led the control department for the team’s first two seasons, a run that culminated in the 2026 win, with first place in the technical task and the final report. He now serves on the team’s technical leadership as its software systems specialist. He created and maintains Zenmav, an open-source Python library for controlling ArduPilot drones, and spent the summer of 2025 at Polytechnique Montréal’s MIST Lab, working on lidar-based autonomous navigation in GPS-denied environments. He is completing his aerospace engineering degree at Polytechnique Montréal.
