Marc Vanderaegen is a General Flight Standards Inspector for the Strategy and Emerging Technologies Branch, with a focus on RPAS training, knowledge requirements, exams, and pilot & flight reviewer certification. Marc has been a pilot since 1987, with a focus on bush, arctic and water bomber flying, and still trains multi-engine and instrument rating pilot examiners for Transport Canada. Throughout his career, Marc has also held various check pilot, examiner, management, program development and training positions in commercial and general aviation operations. Marc has thoroughly enjoyed the hobby of being an RPAS pilot since 1976, starting out in the model rocket, glider and control line aircraft field.
