Jeannie Stewart-Smith

Biography

Jeannie Stewart-Smith has spent over 15 years shaping Canada’s federal transportation policy. In 2017, when drones began to reshape the skies, Jeannie joined Transport Canada’s newly formed team tackling this emerging technology. Today, she serves as Manager and Senior Policy Advisor for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), leading policy, regulatory development, and public outreach. She also represents Canada at the International Civil Aviation Organization’s AAM Study Group. A proud Montréal native, Jeannie holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration from Concordia University, and brings a blend of curiosity, collaboration, and forward-thinking to every challenge she tackles.
