Grant Barkman

Biography

Grant is the Founder and President of DecisionWorks Consulting Inc., the Solutions Architect for TrackSense and Director of Flight Operations.  He holds a Master of Business Administration (Supply Chain) degree along with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Grant was born into a family of aviators and started flying at the age of 14.  He holds multi-engine and instrument ratings as an aircraft pilot and a Level 1 Complex Flight Examiner rating as a drone pilot.

Grant is specifically active in the remote inspection of railroads, both here in Canada and globally.  Over the past 4 years, he and his team have worked closely with Transport Canada as well as a variety of major railroads to design and implement an integrated suite of drone-based, inspection tools specifically targeted at railway safety and operational efficiency.

Increasingly Grant is being asked to provide leadership in terms of the use of drones in railway inspections, long-range BVLOS mission planning, security and intelligent surveillance and surveillance, with a particular focus on railway corridors and supply chains.
