Jeff Burns

Biographie

Jeffrey Burns is Director of Public Safety Programs at Remote Robotic, where he helps public safety agencies build and scale their drone and robotics programs. He brings 25 years of policing experience with Toronto and Durham Regional Police. There he served on the front line, as a canine handler, and as a Tactical Flight Officer with the Air Support Unit, and helped build and deploy Durham’s RPAS and Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs. He is a Complex Level 1 RPAS pilot and Flight Reviewer. He teaches in Trent University’s MSc in Forensic Science program and leads drone-based decomposition research with Trent and Ontario Tech University.
